Convenience & Impulse New Zealand Expo 2019

Following 27 years of success in Australia, the Convenience & Impulse Expo is coming to Auckland.

C&I Media, the organiser of the event and no stranger to New Zealand, is part of The Intermedia Group which has had a major presence in New Zealand for some years. Intermedia New Zealand publishes FMCG Business, Hospitality Business, The Shout New Zealand and Inclean New Zealand. It also runs three major events: Clean NZ, The Chocolate & Coffee Show and New Zealand’s only liquor trade show, Top Shelf. Now comes Convenience & Impulse New Zealand Expo 2019 – or C&I NZ 2019 for short.

At this inaugural event, New Zealand convenience retailers and suppliers from all banners and brands will gather for two business building days that will be informative and entertaining.

C&I NZ 2019 will be the first national event devoted to the needs of New Zealand’s owners and operators of service stations, convenience stores, dairies, corner stores, newsagents, mini marts, and take-aways. In fact it will be a great resource for any retail food outlet that has a convenience offer. Suppliers and wholesalers will also be made welcome.

From 10am to midday each day, visitors will be treated to an impressive line-up of quality local and international Convention presentations, hosted by the New Zealand Association of Convenience Stores. Then the Expo opens and visitors will experience first-hand the latest and best in convenience products, services and merchandising. At the same time, the 200 seat Convention Theatre will deliver its crowd into the Expo Hall for five hours of intensive trade activity. Admission to these events is free but the general public will not be admitted.

On the first evening, visitors and exhibitors will mingle at the informal Convenience Cocktails event, with drinks, finger food and a live band.

C&I NZ 2019 is an inaugural event. Based on past experience total attendance at the Expo is expected to approach 1,000 visitors, representing retail outlets and suppliers. We expect some 200 visitors will book to attend at least one of the Convention sessions and several overseas delegations say they will be attending. New Zealand’s major convenience suppliers have already expressed support for the event.

Admission to C&I NZ 2019 and the NZACS Convention presentations is free. Tickets for the Convenience Cocktails event must be booked in advance. Delegates will be able to pre-register and book tickets at www.candiexpo.co.nz.

Retailers and suppliers from all banners and brands are welcome to attend any or all of the functions over these two days where the focus will be on convenience and impulse industry innovation and best practice.
